Tulane University is a private research university in New Orleans, Louisiana. With an average class size of 23 students, the University offers a quality educational experience in an intimate learning environment. The school boasts an outstanding variety of academic programs, including liberal arts, business, law, medicine, public health, architecture, engineering, tropical medicine, and social work. Tulane has been a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU) since 1958.

Though the school is located in the heart of a vibrant city, students remain fostered within a tight-knit community; freshmen and sophomores must live on campus, barring a few extenuating circumstances.

Tulane admissions are competitive, as the school admits only about 26% of its annual applicant pool. Most qualified candidates rank in the top third of their graduating class, and can boast at least a 3.5 high school GPA. The University offers a non-restrictive Early Action plan.
